Getting your files from Mero Share and TMS

Three files give the app everything it needs. You download them yourself: we never ask for your Mero Share or TMS password.

  1. My Transaction History, from Mero Share

Every share that came into or went out of the demat account: IPOs, bonus and right shares, purchases, sales and mergers, whichever broker was used.

    • Sign in to Mero Share and open My Transaction History
    • Choose the widest date range it allows, so nothing is missed
    • Download it as CSV (Excel or PDF work too)
  2. The WACC report, from Mero Share

Mero Share’s average cost for each company. It fills in what the history doesn’t say, such as a premium IPO’s price or a mutual fund’s units, and lets us check our figure against theirs.

    • In Mero Share, find the WACC report (with My Purchase Source)
    • Download it as CSV, Excel or PDF
  3. The trade book, from your broker’s TMS

The exact price of every purchase and sale made through that broker. Each broker you’ve used has its own TMS, so bring in one trade book for each.

    • Sign in to your broker’s TMS and find the trade book report
    • Choose the whole period you’ve traded
    • Export it as CSV, Excel or PDF

Then

Sign in, add the person, and choose Import from Mero Share. Choose all their files at once. You’ll see every row and each company’s average cost before anything is saved. A trade book brought in later prices the purchases already saved, and a file brought in twice is never counted twice.

Menu names in Mero Share and TMS change from time to time. If you can’t find one, the file names above are what to look for.
