A closing price outside the day’s price band, or an index move bigger than a trading halt allows, is left out as a bad print rather than shown.
A source that answers with too little data, or a date in the future, doesn’t replace what we already have.
Fees and tax rules are stored with the date they take effect, so a sale is worked out with the rules of its day.
